King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard announce new album details

Fans of the Melbourne rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have not one, not two, but three new albums to look forward to. The notoriously prolific band has announced that they’ll be releasing a trio of albums in October.

The first, “Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava”, will drop on October 7th. That’ll be followed by “Laminated Denim” on October 12th and “Changes” on October 28th. The band has already released the first single from the trio, a 10-minute psych-pop track called ‘Ice V,’ with more on the way. King Gizzard has been flying the rock flag for Australian music for some time, and it looks unlikely that they’ll be giving up their status anytime soon!

Julia Jacklin makes waves

Julia Jacklin has slowly built a legion of loyal fans since her debut album back in 2016. With the release of Pre-Pleasure, her latest album, the Sydney singer-songwriter looks set to conquer not only Australia but the world. The album has received critical acclaim from professional critics, who praised Jacklin for the emotional depth of her songs. She’ll be touring Australia in February, so be sure to check her out!

KISS rock Perth

Fans of classic rock band KISS have been waiting a long time to see the foursome on their final world tour. But lucky fans were able to enjoy a classic night of rock riffs and all-out fun last Friday when the band worked their way through their extensive back catalogue at the RAC Arena. It was a fitting way to say goodbye, but there’s every chance we will see at least one member of KISS back in Perth in the future. “If I could live anywhere in the world, I’d live right here in Perth,” Paul Stanley said.

Good news for Justin Bieber fans

Fans of the Biebs will have been alarmed by the news that Justin Bieber is postponing his world tour due to health concerns. But Australian fans can stay calm. While Bieber has postponed a bunch of shows, the Australian leg of his tour is very much still on, for now at least. He’s due to play various cities around the country in November, so let’s hope that his health returns and he can delight Aussie audiences once again.
